Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunt
Held annually the Saturday before Easter, this event offers something for everyone. Candy hunts for eight different age groups, a petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, make-and-take crafts, face painting, carnival games, fun inflatables, and much more.
Admission and parking are free when you bring canned food to benefit St. Mary's/Westside Food Bank Alliance.
A decades-long tradition, the city of Peoria hosts a July 4th All-American Festival each year at the Peoria Sports Complex in celebration of Independence Day.
This family-friendly affair features everything from fireworks, the annual cornhole tournament, eating contests, multiple stages of music and food, games and water activities for kids of all ages.

Old Town Holiday Festival & Gingerbread House Competition
5 - 10 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 in Old Town Peoria, Peoria and Grand Avenues
The City of Peoria invites the community out to enjoy the annual Old Town Holiday Festival. Take a stroll through Old Town Peoria and enjoy all the holiday activities. Presented by Sears Vacations, the event will feature live entertainment, a visit from Santa, 20 tons of snow, crafters market, kid zone and a choral contest. The festival will take place south of Peoria and Grand avenues. Parking and admission are free. Some activities have a nominal fee. Food and beverage concessions will be available for purchase.

Divisions: Groups, Individuals, and Adaptive (All-Ages)
Enter November 28-30, between 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., at the Peoria Community Center 8335 W. Jefferson St.
Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: complied with rules, imagination, creativity, degree of difficulty and overall appearance. Certificates will be awarded to first through third places in each category for each division. There will be a $100 grand prize awarded for the Best Overall Large House and $50 for Best Overall Mini House. The houses will be on display during the Old Town Holiday Festival, December 2.
