Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunt

Peoria Sports Complex

Held annually the Saturday before Easter, this event offers something for everyone. Candy hunts for eight different age groups, a petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, make-and-take crafts, face painting, carnival games, fun inflatables, and much more.

Admission and parking are free when you bring canned food to benefit St. Mary's/Westside Food Bank Alliance.

A decades-long tradition, the city of Peoria hosts a July 4th All-American Festival each year at the Peoria Sports Complex in celebration of Independence Day.

This family-friendly affair features everything from fireworks, the annual cornhole tournament, eating contests, multiple stages of music and food, games and water activities for kids of all ages.

Join us every year in October for an annual celebration of German food and culture! Peoria's Oktoberfest features live Festmusik straight from Germany, German food including Brats, Pretzels, Beer and more! Old Town Peoria at Peoria & Grand Avenues

Along with the award-winning bands, festival goers will be able to enjoy live music and entertainment, a delicious variety of traditional foods, arts and crafts shopping and an activity zone that may include inflatables, carnival rides, Rock wall, face painters and more. A cigar bar, beer and margaritas will also be available.

Old Town Holiday Festival & Gingerbread House Competition


Old Town Peoria, Peoria and Grand Avenues 

The City of Peoria invites the community out to enjoy the annual Old Town Holiday Festival. Take a stroll through Old Town Peoria and enjoy all the holiday activities. Presented by Sears Vacations, the event will feature live entertainment, a visit from Santa, 20 tons of snow, crafters market, kid zone and a choral contest. The festival will take place south of Peoria and Grand avenues. Parking and admission are free. Some activities have a nominal fee. Food and beverage concessions will be available for purchase.

Annual Gingerbread House Competition

Mini Houses & Large Houses 
Divisions: Groups, Individuals, and Adaptive (All-Ages) 
Enter at the Peoria Community Center 8335 W. Jefferson St.

Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: complied with rules, imagination, creativity, degree of difficulty and overall appearance. Certificates will be awarded to first through third places in each category for each division. There will be a $100 grand prize awarded for the Best Overall Large House and $50 for Best Overall Mini House. The houses will be on display during the Old Town Holiday Festival.
